Bed Bug Bite Symptoms

Bed Bug Bite Symptoms

Bed bug bite symptoms differ from one person to another. There are people who have no reaction to bites from these bed bugs. Some have bumps, itching swelling on the skin. Others have left the inflamed welt spot on their victims.

It is not easy to distinguish bed bug bite symptoms from other insect bites. In general, bed bug bite symptoms in our skin are:

- Red, often with a darker red mark in the middle

- Itchy

- Arranged in a irregular line or in a cluster

- Placed on the back, neck, face, arms and hands

- Some people have no reaction at all to bedbug bites, while others experience an allergic reaction that can include severe itching, sores or hives.

If you experience allergic reactions or harsh skin reactions to your bed bugs bites, see your doctor for professional treatment. Doctor often prescribed them by steroids or antihistamines.

Bed bugs feed on their hosts by piercing the human skin with long beak, which they use to suck the blood. Much like fleas and mosquitoes, their bodies become engorged in three to ten minutes without the victim noticing. Perhaps it is their patience in getting the blood meal that makes it hard for human to realize what is happening to them.

A major concern is the possibility of transmitting disease. There has been no documented case of a disease passed on by bed bug so it is dismissed by science. The extent of their damage to their hosts is limited to itchiness and swelling from their bites.

The complicated thing is that there is an interval between the time someone has been bitten and when symptoms appear. Sometimes up to 9 days. The more times a person is being bitten, the less time interval between the biting and the appearance of bed bug bite symptoms.

Bed Bugs Bite

Bed bugs are everywhere. It would seem your bed contains hundreds to thousands of bed bugs that crawl and creep into your body when you are asleep.

Bed bug are like insects equipped with intelligence. They actually are able to get smart. Bed bugs suck the blood of his victims, which of course are human, but sometimes pet animals such as fog, cats, birds and even bats.

In the past, bed bugs are most common among birds’ nests. But because just like the human species, bed bugs are growing and adapting to environmental changes, they have learned to crawl into people’s homes, especially beds and room surfaces.

Bed bugs take their luxurious meals by using their elongated beaks to stab through the skin of the victim. Then, they start the dinner and cruelly suck on blood until they can no longer take more.

What luck! While others find it difficult hard to find food, bed bugs are very easy to find it. They hold a feast of food every night and never out of supplies

Diseases from bed bugs

Doctors and medical practitioners guarantee, however, that bed bugs’ bite is not so dangerous. Mosquito bite is much more threatening because they can transfer serious ailments like malaria, dysentery, elephantiasis or h-fever.

For comparison, bed bugs bite do not cause many health risks. Bed bugs can be a host to a number of diseases but they are rarely sent to the victims of their bites.
